Information stored by the app
Fretweave stores preferences, favourites, collections, selected tunings, learning progress and the local state needed to remember whether Pro features are active in the app's private storage on your device. Fretweave does not send this information to a Fretweave server.
Bundled song progression examples
Fretweave includes curated song progression examples in the app bundle to connect familiar music with practice. These examples stay on your device; Fretweave does not send song queries or search history to a Fretweave server.
Purchases
Fretweave Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Apple handles payment details and provides Fretweave with product and entitlement status. Fretweave does not receive or store your payment-card number or payment credentials. Restore Purchase uses Apple's account and transaction services.
Fonts and external links
The app bundles its fonts and does not request them from Google or another font host at runtime. Settings includes optional, user-initiated links to the Tone.js Instruments project and its Creative Commons licence. Those external destinations have their own privacy practices.
Website information
This website does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural analytics. Like most internet services, its hosting infrastructure may temporarily process technical information such as IP address, browser type and request logs to deliver, secure and diagnose the site.
Support messages
If you contact support, the information you provide will be used to answer your request and maintain appropriate support records. Please do not send sensitive personal information that is not needed to resolve the issue.
Sharing and retention
Fretweave does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers where necessary to operate the app, website, App Store purchase process or support service, or where required by law. Support records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, legal and security purposes.
Your choices
You can remove locally stored app information by deleting Fretweave from your device. Purchase history is controlled through your Apple Account. You may contact Fretweave about information contained in your support correspondence.
Children and changes
Fretweave does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account system. This policy may be updated as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
